In about an hour SWMBO is coming home with the idea that we will go to Worcester where we will spend the afternoon trawling the shops for prezzies for the family until it gets dark or I have a major infarct.

I am going to strongly suggest we sit down and decide WHO GETS WHAT before we start, then buy the whole lot online.

I have no idea what the outcome will be, but expect the worst. I think she actually enjoys battling through crowds looking at every item in the High Street (usually twice) before we buy the first thing we looked at.

Is it just me? Will I win with withering male logic, or once more be trampled underfoot by feminine determination to wander around aimlessly for 3 hours instead?

I decided to go down the online route a couple of years ago and it wasn't exactly stress-free. I was still waiting for some presents to be delivered on Christmas Eve! I imagine with the weather this year it will be even more unpredictable.

He's not a bad lad.
Ian is going to buy Mrs Ian some 'draws' - she asked for something that reminded her of Chelsea FC.

Granted, but she's buying her own present Ian. You could have gone out and bought it yourself.

I am sitting at my terminal feeling rather smug. Most of my Xmas presents were bought late AUgust and early September and are now stashed away wrapped and labelled awaiting distribution on Christmas Day. Without exception all of the purchases were made on line and I got some fantastic bargains. Purchasing done within an hour. Wrapping took a little longer.
