I never use Shaving Soap, normal soap brushed on is every bit as effective. A shaving brush takes up less space than a can of foam, worth considering when travelling, or anywhere space is at a premium.:angry:

The day I realised this was the last day I bought 'shaving' soap. I quite like using basic, unfragranced 'pure' soaps for shaving as this means if you are an aftershave user, you don't get two fragrances colliding.

Yep, decent brush and I use plain Imperail Leather bar of soap. Been doing this for 15 years and wouldn't go back to fancy gels etc. For those that suffer this method had an immediate and dramatic improvement on ingrowing hairs.
