That’s just reminded me. Daughter lives adjacent to the beach at Porty. She sent me a photo recently of three nuns looking out to sea where a fourth nun was trying out one of those boards that you stand on and push yourself along using a pole. Judging by the Habits they were wearing they were “ Poor Clares”

One of my colleagues went to a catholic school where they were taught by monks. He said it was quite incongruous to have rugby matches refereed by a monk dressed in full habit. Apparently the rugby master (a monk) had little clue about the rules, though my mate was once sent off for blasphemy
