I think his show is just drivel...I listen to it sometimes in the morning when im in the kitchen because I get the best reception on that channel and all you get is him yapping half the morning and no music...and im not in the mood generally to listen to his crap.I used to prefer that Jeff bloke...at least he was slightly funny.

Is that the Mancunian bloke who they put on Absolute Radio in the afternoons? I think he does an undiscovered treasures show on there now.

EDIT: I gave up on modern music.. I listen to a bit of Radio 2 (switch off when Vine comes on, hate that bloke, too, ahahaha!) but mostly Classic FM and one of the digi rock music channels.

Yeah it's Geoff Lloyd...I just looked it up.

Used to listen to him years ago when he was on a local station up here(Key103) with pete somebody or other.
They were pretty good by local radio standards then I remember them being poached by Virgin? I think it was.
Not as good as Moyles though

I remember him and that Pete bloke having a MASSIVE falling out on air. Kept making digs about Pete's ex wife or something.

Yes, I like Geoff too. Did apologize about the Pete goading episode. Said that sometimes he just can't stop himself. No excuse, but did apologize.

C O'Connell - can't stand. In fact all morning DJs are pants. Is it because I am getting old, or because I don't like what everyone else does?

I must adnit it makes me smile when people who are no longer adolescents say "I can't STAND Radio 1/Big Breakfast/other yoof programmes". Of course not, it's not FOR you! Sorry, but you have moved on and grown up. You really should be listening to "the best of the 70s/80s" on duffer FM, or better still Radio 4 and the Today programme.

I'm very much enjoying This Is England 86. Why? Because I was in my teens in the 80s, and I idnetify with the characters and remember what it was like growing up then. Anyone under 35, certainly 30, won't because they weren't around back then. As a result it's of historical interest to them. It's a programme designed to appeal to people in their 40s and up. Thats OK, the kids can carry on watching MTV.

Not really...As I explained I don't really want to listen to C 'O' Connell rabbiting on in the morning...I would rather listen to music...Plus the fact Geoff is more entertaining anyway...

Still im up so early this week I don't have to.

I didnt like "yoof" programming when I was one. Just because they're kids doesnt make them stupid.

This is England is amazing. I was 9 in that year. We should start a new thread on it sometime, as the guy has made some other quality films (like Dead Man's Shoes)

I'm loving This Is England 86, and I was born in that year. I wouldn't say it's of historical interest, it's more that it's the best depiction of kids/young adults in that transition stage that I've ever seen on TV. Just because I'm under 30 doesn't mean I want to watch Hollyoaks.

IMPORTANT NEWS.

I was supposed to be paid on the 21st of this month, but my employer changed it to the 29th without informing me. When I found this out on the 21st I bellyached a bit to my manager, then borrowed £20 from my mum and had a frugal week.
