Nah, she should be all right, New York customs has its tomtit together, very organised.
It was on the news over the weekend, budgets have been slashed, overtime stopped and staff cut, average wait at major hubs is now 3 hours.

That's saved me any hard decision making for the near future then, traveling to the US of A has just become too much like hard work for me. Standing in long queues at airports (or anywhere else for that matter) is one of my increasing number of pet hates
. I will save the money from taxes on air travel, and head off on my bike to Europe instead!

Mrs R and I cleared immigration at Heathrow last night in record time, we were waiting for our baggage 15 minutes after landing - and that included a longish walk through terminal 3 from the gate to passport control. My number one son arrived in the UK this morning at 8.30 on a flight from Doha and was even quicker. Someone from the Border Agency seems to be sorting things out
Presumably you are traveling on an EU passport? We should get our revenge on the USA immigration service by having a special 1 lane queue for American passport holders, staffed by some grumpy neanderthal who doesn't like foreign visitors.
