I rode from here to Nottingham last summer, and routed it to go past the dairies at Cropwell Bishop, Long Clawson and Colston Bassett. All closed by the time I got there. B*stards. It's as if they knew I was coming.

I'll bet that's a favourite of Vicky Pollard.

As for me I'll scoff any type but you can't can't beat a bit of mature mouse trap, Davidstow is particularly good.

Always stock up on Comte and Morbier on our annual visit to family in the Jura,France.You can get it here but it never seems to taste the same,especially the Morbier.You can still get it with the Ash-line over there(though technically you can't) if you know a good local maker
English cheese has to be a very a mature Cheddar or Wensleydale

Varies for me depending what type of meal/snack I am having.
Melted on toast... mature cheddar sprinkled with black pepper or cayenne.
With celery..... its cheshire
Ploughmans.....a mix. Sorry @nickyboy but I will have it with cranberry or similar.
I am about to have a couple of Ryvitas with Cheshire on....yummy.
