I reckon I got 15000 miles out of my Aksiums, the front one is still in use on my second/winter bike. If they are still that well made they should do you well.
All the budget factory wheelsets I have ever bought or that have come with a new bike have had next to no grease in the hubs. I now strip, re-grease and reset the bearing for use with a QR skewer so that it runs silky smooth. If you're really keen you can buy some high quality grade balls too. You should be able to get the wheel to rotate under gravity in the dropouts and settle at the heaviest point.
Im on them and i think there great, good shock absorbers and spin really well, and more solid than 24mm ones, get them from Ribble there cheaper on there.
