Cheap brake blocks, worth it or not?

I've tried swisstop and koolstop and although they did stop they wore out too fast Tried BBBs next and they naturally didn't stop quite as well but were half the cost. The last time I was in my lbs was selling xlc tripple compound inserts for half the price again, didn't expect the best but I was strapped for cash and thought I try them out. I was pleasantly surprised maybe not quite as good as swis/koolstop but they are better than BBB. If the lbs back home (400miles away) still sells them when I'm back for a visit, I'll buy some for spares

I would guess these would fit aT3 just fine..........plus they are available in RED!.......(Triban owners will know where I'm coming from here!)
But....as to 'improving' brake efficiency........be aware.........the blocks are not some kind of cunning multi-compound. They look like a lump of rubber dyed 3 different colours.

Not to say that is necessarily a bad thing. If you buy 'em (the price is right?) let us know how you get on with them?

I think you misunderstood, i was talking about the xlc triple compound ones as described in HlaB's reply above, would they fit what is on the T3 as an insert.

As far as I'm aware there's only shimano and capagnolo compatible brakes, I don't think they say but they are probably the shimano type they'll fit the Triban fine. And yip they are insert compatible.

I cleaned my rims with WD40 once. never again.Cleaned them beautifully but the brakes were squealing frighteningly noisy until I scrubbed the rims with soapy water.
