I rode the short Lochranza route today ... on Google
There are 2 bits where some walking will be required: actually, I set myself a challenge, if I can make it without dismounting once - rest breaks excluded, I'll be very happy
If there are no objections by midnight tonight, tomorrow I will book the distillery restaurant for 10 covers at 8.30 on Friday.
That should give us plenty of time to get there, check into the hostel and get cleaned up.
Is that ok with everybody? :smooch:

Morning chaps and chapesses
Table all booked for 8pm, this is the latest they feel comfortable having us
spoke to a very nice lady that told me from Brodick to Lochanza it's only about 13 miles, for some weird reason I'd put it in my head it was 26
She did confirm the mahoosive hill though
Getting all :hyper: now  liberally sprayed waterproofing allover my kit, just in case ^_^

In other non-tone-lowering news, I hope I can get my drivetrain sorted well in advance - I don't fancy riding the Bogoullie on an improvised singlespeed.
Either that or I take the Focus and a small rucksack, and let everyone else carry my heavier things :bravo:

Brilliant work Pat! Not sure where I got 25 miles from either - I've double-checked all the other mileages and all appear to be present and correct! Looking again even the long route is quite lumpy but no point worrying about it now, lets just see how everyone feels on the day

It's also reminded me that we get the ferry to Port Askaig but the return ferry goes from Port Ellen! And (whisper it) weather not looking too bad for the weekend either...
