oh dear ! Look at what has happened ! 
Here's another Tour de Islay route. It runs from Port Charlotte, down to the south coast and follows it right around to Claggan Bay. Then we retrace our steps back to the start.
I figure set off at about 9:30, stop for lunch at Port Ellen, ride on to the bay, stop again for a snack at Port Ellen (if needed) and we should be back by 6-7pm quite easily. Plenty of time to amble along.
