Hi all. This maybe a stupid question but iis it a case of only changing the tyre or do you have to change the rim and all? The rims currently are mavic cxp 22. which sport 25/700c tyres. Just thinking of changing them to 23/700c. Cheers.

You can even fit 2 side by side with a sqeeze, ideal if one goes bang tuther will keep you upright till you screech to a halt. You can use a tub as a get you home but with reduced speed but thats another story ;)

Can you please explain what you mean by this. This seems a bit bizarre to me.

I meant tyres not tubes, as far as tubes go I've done that but you need to drill a second valve hole at 180° from tuther coz you can't get 2 in one hole, if you fold em you can get 1 tube per 180°. Try filling them with water if you like 'em rock hard, next project is a tube within a tube.

Not a problem, but also no significant advantages to 23s over 25s either.
Probably not but its just i got them crud plastic mud guards and have difficulties getting eaperfect fit on my 25's. Apparently they fit much bett on 23's.

FFS the OP is asking a simple question, why not give a straight answer instead of a stupid one?

To the OP, yes you can fit a 23mm without changing the Rims.

blimey, so them mudguards won't fit 28's then? is it the crud racer ones you've got?

was thinking about getting them but there's no way I'm changing my tyres!
