Changing cassette on DI2 gears

I have a new Ultegra Di2 with a 25T cassette and would like to change it to a 28T. By the manual it states that two extra links would be needed in the chain. Would any resetting of the gears be needed if I just replaced the chain and cassette. If anyone has done this or knows it would be a great help before I mess it up

Just change cassette and chain.

Unlikely you would need to change or re index the gears.

@fossyant is bang on the money, you do not need to reset the Di2.
It is a straight swap out, done it loads of times.

Only thing you need to be aware off is that non Shimano cassettes which do not have the hyperglide ramps effect shift quality. Stick with shimano casettes imho

And don't try and add links to a chain. You can't do it like in The 'old days'.

Just store the chain with the smaller cassette if you swap back.

quick question....is a ultegra 6701 chain ok with a Ultegra 6700 cassette ?

It's still 10 speed so it's fine.
