Changing a QR skewer?

Hi Guys,

Probably very simple as I am hoping.

My cycleops fluid 2 was delivered this morning before I left for work. I'm looking forward to getting home tonight to try it out and believe I need to change the QR skewer on my bike with the one that is supplied.

Is it just as simple as unscrewing ye old and and sliding out, and then sliding the new one in and tightening? Reason I ask is because I have no tools at my apartment, only allen keys and I'm wondering if I need anything else?

yes..simple as that.....remember to keep wheel/bike plated firmly on the floor else the wheel will drop

Also make sure you don't lose the two helical springs on either side of the wheel.

Yep, it's an easy 2 sec job.

I'm assuming that the OP needs to change it to a turbo specific type; I had to do that with mine.

reason i ask is i got a turbo for xmas. i havnt changed the skewer and it fits on the turbo, not a great fit as its slightly on an angle but fits all the same
