Hi all,
I started cycling again this summer after a 20 year absence. I picked up an old Massi Trax MTB, I think it's a Spanish bike?. It's a bit beat up but I have been enjoying it immensely and use it to commute and for a bit of off-road muddy fun.
The Cycle to work scheme has just started in my work so after doing a bit of research I decided to go for a Giant Defy 2.
Feeling a bit ropey today so only did a quick 4 mile ride, but wow, now I see why all the lycra clad crew always passed me with a smile, in fact I have even bought some lycra for myself, never thought I would see the day.
Love the bike though, just getting the power down is really rewarding. I will have to get used to the different position of the handlebars though, totally different from the MTB. Reckon I was avoiding pot holes more as well so probably not as safe?
Guess I just wanted to gush a bit, feeling like the cat who got the cream, now have full road and off road fun to be had, just wish we were at the other side of summer again!
Cheers
