Have you tried commuting 5 days a week in winter in Scotland? After 8 years I think I know how many chains I went through - and that's with a pretty good cleaning regime.
Can't see why Scotlands any worse than anywhere else, its a constant battle here no matter the time of year, loads of tractors in and out of the fields., just dries quicker in the warmer weather. Though in fairness it did rain three weeks solid one year when I lived on Skye.

Worth having a word with Canyon?

Your pics are clear and it would be simple enough to email them.

Canyon are supposed to be like Rose, if they are, you might be pleasantly surprised.
#3800 miles and you think you have a warranty claim....dream on! You should have changed the chain and rear cassette sooner!would have extended the life of the front chainring!its so cheap to replace these days its false economy to ride on regardless.

If I incorporated Scotland into my commute, that would potentially be the only way i'd topple @Supersuperleeds on a weekly basis.
I've never ridden in Scotland no, but I cannot imagine changing chains every 3-4 weeks!
