I recently changed the chain on my ICE Qnt trike only to find that the chain skipped/jumped in top gear.
OK.
Thinks to self "I must have let it go too far and it's worn the cassette", SO.....
….I buy & fit NEW 9 speed Shimano cassette 11-34.
Go for ride and it still skips/jumps.
I had previously checked for stiff links, damage etc. No problems there.
It only did it under pressure (when riding).
When I had it on the stand everything worked fine.
I have now fixed it by changing the "connex" quick links for some KMC ones that I had in the spares tub.
I have now refitted the old cassette and it works perfectly.
Has anyone else had problems with "Connex" quick links?
P.S.
I use "Connex" 9 speed chains + links on the other two trikes without any problems, But on both of them I renewed the cassette's at the same time as the chain's.
OK.
