Removing the freewheel is no drama, assuming you have the right tool. Easier if you have access to a vice.
This is a freewheel that's been in situ 50 odd years.
I suggest that 'drama' is a distinct possibility (as I suspect many on here know).
Fallen at the first hurdle; I don't have a removal tool that'll fit, and I've got a few! The freewheel is a Regina Extra (so original I'm guessing) so I'll either have to source the specific tool or visit my LBS and ask them to do it.

Looks like it, yes, I found the same thing. As you say, cheap enough to not bother the LBS with - so just yet another tool add to the toolbox. €15 posted (I'm in France, but thanks anyway @Punkawallah )A quick google leads me to the Park FR-4
