Cervelo - I just don't get it!

The above quoted statements are absolutely true IMO.

I think Cervelo frames are made in China, not Taiwan.

Guru are made in Canada.

Some Colnagos are made in Taiwan, but most are still made in Italy. Whether this changes if Colnago are taken over by Giant, time will tell.

With the exception of a few companies, such as Guru, a boutique manufacturer in Laval, the vast majority of performance bikes, including Cervelo, are now made in Asia, especially China, with its low-cost labour. The bike components, similarly, are not made in Canada.

Actually, its turning into quite an interesting subject. I was only having a laugh before. However, Colnago are still making their top end bikes in Italy and have made in Italy on them!

I said most carbon fibre bikes were made in Taiwan, including Colnagos
- perhaps I should have said 'monocoque' CF Colnagos...
The CX1 and CLX are made there (well the CLX is, the CX1 mainframe is, then the rear end stuck on and painted in Italy)
Plus some of the alu models like the Arte are Taiwanese.

As for the lugged EPS...well lots of contradiction and acrimony here

Although I see absolutely no reason to prefer Italian craftmanship over Taiwanese. Ever owned an Alfa Romeo or a Ducati?

All these top end bikes are fantastic by all the makers, just comes down to personal perferences.
