Well, I can confirm there is ice on the cycle path at Renton. I had planned a short trip out to Loch Lomond this afternoon, but ended up taking a tumble here on a patch of ice. I was slowing down in preparation for the left turn, squeezed the brake a little then the bike disappeared from under me and I landed on my chin! I slowed the blood with my buff and cycled home, not fully realising what I had done to my chin - which ended up needing a trip to the minor injuries clinic and six stitches :B)

It might be safer sticking to the road for this stretch next week but maybe it will have warmed up a bit by then ... :cold:

Hope all is well with you now Harry_Palmer79, though I imagine it will be nipping a bit. Look forward to catching up next week:smile:

Go carefully @Harry_Palmer79 ! You'll be sore tomorrow.

If it's icy next week then I'm out. I took a tumble twice a few days ago and I don't fancy a third.

They are indeed @Scoosh and thanks I'm fine now... I think I'll be a lot more cautious about using the cycle-path when there's still a chance of ice tbh, my mum has already suggested taking up knitting instead!
That's OK then ... it's when she suggests putting stabilisers on that you need to be worried/ concerned.

I think due to my car not working the way it should and my major lack of money it would be better if I didn't come along, safe to say im gutted

Being a weather-watcher before I commit, the decision has been taken out of my hands now. I'm 'Not Available'.

Mrs Scoosh has her 10-yo niece :girldance: coming for the weekend, so I get to stay in on Saturday early am (0900 - 1030) while Mrs Scoosh does a 5km Park Run, then she takes over and I get to go to my BMF class.

Maybe go a wee bike ride afterwards ... :bicycle:
