If his religion forbids him to handle pork or bacon that is fine as far as I'm concerned and I would respect that, on the other hand he should realise that if he is a cook then he must stick to Muslim Restaurants and not apply for work in a job that involves cooking British dishes!!!!!!!!!!!!

IIRC, the Muslim Council of Britain commented on a similar case, where Muslim checkout staff were refusing to handle alcohol on religious grounds, by saying that the issue was about consumption, not handling and that the staff were in the wrong.

It looks like a scam to me and does the guy's religion and its followers a great disservice.
