If you're going to pull the freehub apart, have you seen this ?

I've just tried to pull one apart, but in the absence of the special Shimano tool to get the inner bearing cup out, I wasn't able to.
I did manage to remove the rubber sealing ring on the back of it, exposing the lower set of bearings, and found that all full of gunge rather than grease, so I've flushed everything through until the crap stopped coming out, lubed it and regreased that set of bearings.
But without being able to get it apart, the upper set isn't greased, it's just lubed, so we'll have to see how long that works for...
