Ah, does"in the east" that mean the star was to the east relative to the observer at the time of observation, or that the observation was made "in the east" ie to the east of the speaker's current position?

We need a theologian to sort this one out pronto.

If left unchecked, doctrinal differences like this can cause schisms leading to decades-long religious wars.

It must have been decided as all religions never leave anything ambiguous and all text is peer reviewed and referenced with sources….
