I've bought a 22.5" Carlton Corsair, more or less complete for £65. The plan is to titivate it back to nice useable condition, but not go potty like I did on the 531c Raleigh.

It is definitely going to need wheels. Am I right in thinking that the OLN for the rear wheel on these is 120mm? If so, am I right in thinking that 7-speed is the maximum I'll fit in there?

@russ.will I would think 126 mm and a 7 speed screw on type should fit ok

It could have been set to anything. It can also be set again if you want something different. However, for big changes, say 120mm to 130mm, you should check the dropouts are parallel afterwards and adjust as necessary.

I'll have to wait and see on that front, but given the apparent lack of anything having been done from the pictures, I suspect it's standard 120mm:
