Surely touring is about having fun and taking it easy, not being optimised. Carboload on the Guinness and get a decent full-Irish brekkie to last the first 30miles and should be good, yes?

My first tour was 60 miles aday in the Baltics having pork chops with cheese melted all over it for rest stops plus local lager and their 100ml vokda servrings to round it off. Ireland is a great country just enjoy it
