Hello

ive just had my all carbon road bike.
last year i bought a mont blanc roof top cycle carrier.
as i was reading throught the manual for my bike, it said not to use any type of carrier that wraps around the tube.
bugger.
i have a peugeot 107, this seemed like the only option.

any ideas for a cycle carrier for a carbon bike on a peugeot 107.
( thats all ideas except get a new car)

thanks

Commonly, there are three types of roof top carrier, the conventional holds the down tube with two straps thru the wheels, another requires the front wheel to be removed and is clamped on and finally a third option holds the bike upside-down by the saddle and handlebars. Would this be an option? Failing that, just get some roof bars and lay it flat?

The issue with the 107 is you cant hang a rack on the rear due to it's boot lid.

so, roof options:

as mentioned before, drop front wheel out, clamp on using the front wheel drop out, this is designed to have been tightened and cope with similar stresses and should be ok.

not too keen on the upside down ones myself, seen a couple of cars with bikes wobbling around and handle bars resting on the roof of the vehicle but this is most likely user error.

is it possible to fit a towball mounted carrier to the rear of the car?
