Good point - I'd read the post as nail varnish remover - but imagined the last word. That said although I have never used nail varnish I suspect it's the same solvent.

It's something that has been used to touch up minor scratches for a long time, I've used it on three or four bikes over the years.

Probably won't hide heal rub well, but I use it on my black SRAM cranks that regularly take rock hits on the end of the crank arms.

Ever consider using crankarm boots ? They are for carbon cranks but maybe they would be good for normal ones too ?

Thought about it ! Haven't bothered yet - I would with carbon though.

EVERYTHING destroys carbon fibre, oil, water, air, sweat, sugar, looking at it too hard. And that's only a small fraction of the total.
