Carbon fork bike wanted

I am looking to buy a new road bike with drops and have tried the Specialized Allez 16 (£499) and a Fuji Newest 3.0 (£479). I preferred the riding position of the Allez but missed having the third ring the Fuji has. The Fuji felt quite heavier too. Guess that would warrant an Allez 24 then.

Does anyone have any recommendations or can beat the above on price for any carbon fork road bike - be it double or triple ?

Did anyone see any good sales on over the weekend ?

Have you considered second hand? Huuuuge choice of bikes at that price range if you do, almost all of which will have carbon forks (at least!).

My allez elite '07 cost me 450, and thats got carbon forks, seat post, and full 105 groupset. Damn near new condition too!

I have been watching ebay for a while but to be honest in a 50 mile radius they are few and far between and even then not much less than new!
I live in East Yorkshire so my catchment area tends to be around Scarborough, Hull, York.

Try gumtree, preloved and other such sites. - I find that although prices are listed a little higher, its easier to haggle!

Also try classified sections on cycling forums. Like this one!
