I used to occasionally go shopping for my aunt when I was little and I usually got 3d to spend so quite often bought a bar of Caramac. Never tried them in latter years though but I suspect like wiggydiggy says, they were nothing like the originals.
I used to like them occasionally, too sweet to have very often. I'm one of those people who will complain about its loss now, having not had one for probably 20 years, but it would have been nice for them to keep making them just for me if I ever fancied one
loved 'em as a kid... then bought one after not having had one for what seemed like several decades and it was disgusting. My taste buds have changed a lot since i was a kid.
I tried a wagon wheel once. I say tried... one bite hastily spat out into the bin with my one and only wagon wheel.
I must be one of the few who are quite happy they have been shrinking. Now if they would keep that up until they exist in a infinitesimal small instance of time and space. Or disappear up the devil's ahole that spawned the foul things.
Caravan? I seem to recall something in history class about them. I don't ever recall seeing one IRL though. Didn't they get stopped years ago?
Now I'm still hoping to see marathons and jif back in circulation. Those are two things today should never have been renamed, it's a bit like losing our national identity. When it happened we lost something for good!
I used to love Caramac. I haven't had one for must be 50 plus years and like everything I daresay they got smaller, more expensive and didn't taste the same just like most things these days.
