Agreed a towbar is not a cheap fitting. There was one already on the 2nd hand Galaxy I got, but to be honest you will not get change out of £600 for a towbar and Atera Strada 4 bike model. If you want to save on the Atera then the Maxxraxx is more fiddly to fit but rock solid and a lot cheaper. http://www.maxxraxx.co.uk/
Previously I had a Thule which offers rails for up to three bikes, but hangs on the back door: http://www.thule.com...kPac%20973.aspx You get an adapter kit for your car. Mine was an Audi A3, and although it never fell off, I dreaded using it. The plastic coated metal lips that hooked onto the upper boot edge were only about 4mm long and it really felt insecure.
