Hi all,
I need some help picking a bike.
I currently have a 2014 Cannondale Trail SL3 29'er. When I bought it I hadn't rode in 10+ years.. Didn't really know what kind of bike to get.
I started off with leisurely trail rides, which turned into me riding single track with a more intense crowd. A couple bent rims and a broken axle I was way past the limits on this hard tail.
I went in to grab a Specialized Stumpjumper FSR Carbon but backed out last minute after feeling like it was too much coin.
Soon after I started riding with a friend who has a hybrid... Paved trails, roads. I loved it.
Now I want to get away from single track and just commute, ride paved trails etc.
What is the difference between my Cannondale Trail SL3 29er with a new set of smooooth 29x1.95 tires vs a Canondale Badboy? Are the gears spread out differently, is there riding geometry that would make a major difference? Is it worth buying the Badboy over just keeping the Trail SL3??
