Sepends on the finish I think, but I'd be trying the Colly on a chainstay or similar are and seeing how it looked. If it didn't work, then washing up liquid takes it off OK.
Failing that, as someone has previously mentioned a car detailing spray (Meguiars or similar) would be good, too, but nothing like as durable.
