The cable guides on the head lugs are for the drive train so there won't be any down tube shifters....... Strange.

Some builders started building frames with the cable stops there once STi shifting had been introduced, assuming that's what the customer specified - if so, that would put the frame at early/mid 90s. Either way, this looks like a custom build for someone - my guess it was a winter frame.

Hence the mudguard fittings.

Thanks for the pic. Apart from the shifter braze on mounts and the mudguard eyes, this frame frame is very similar. I think mine must be a custom build.

Reynolds frame should be about 2.2 kg minus forks

That's pretty much the territory of a good lightweight tubing, actually slightly less than 531, could well be a more modern sibling ..as given by the brazed on Sti cable stops

Cheers Shaun, I'll get the scales out. The lack of downtube shifter braze-ons is also peculiar!

It might have been made for band on shifters, the Lug work looks very much like my old Raleigh Clubman
