...its seems she can't...

Given she's crashed TWICE now !

I noticed her technique is wrong she leans into the corner letting the weight off the wheels instead: she should lean the bike not her - thus placing the weight vertical on the section of the tyre that needs to be on the ground upon traversing a corner.

Now then now then...

(I appear to have turned into jimmy saville temporarily)

aaanyway, apparently the track was a bit 'sticky' and so the bikes weren't responding as expected, which is prob why she caught ann caro's back wheel...there were loads of other crashes too. I'm sure she can corner really

Yenners nowt wrong with her cornering, was she willing to die for her cause this morning? Without a shadow of a doubt she was, the crashes were from giving beyond everything and riding like a lunatic. Untempered youth she will learn.

I reckon she was going hell for leather and just took it too fast. She'll definitely learn from this experience.

I don't think crashed because she touched Chausson's back wheel. Replay it a few times; pay attention to Reade's back wheel and her position on the bike. If you look closely it looks like she braked really hard and/or tried to turn too suddenly because she thought she was going to hit Chausson. It looks like her back wheel skids, and because of the angle/direction of the skid and the angle of the berm, the bicycle stops dead, she loses control of it and gets thrown off. If she had merely clipped Chausson's back wheel (and if she did, she barely touched it - it doesn't look like it made contact) do you think she would have come to such a sudden halt? And if she had hit Chausson's wheel hard enough to cause herself to crash, then why was Chausson completely unaffected by it - not even a wobble?

Watching her race, she can ride, and her bike control is awesome - it's all or nothing.......

She deffo overcooked it on that bend trying to get past the French rider....looked a bit like what happens to a roadie then they know they've done the same..you just can't make it...

Anyway... we have to let someone else win the odd medal in cycling ! Come on....we've been told we are boring.........ha ha ha.....

You lost me (ps it's not hard to do)...........

The Aussie swimming coach was jealous that GB was winning more than them so he said 'the winning is surprising for a country that hasnt many pools or much soap'
