Can I use hybrid for sportive.....?

That brompton did the full 80 mile route!

I assumed it was the 47, i am going to try and look at the photos to see if i can get his number to see the results.

Would love to know the time he did it in

I wouldn't trust the offical timing, as it had me doing the full route in 6 hours 16 minutes, which meant I crossed the finish line after I walked throught the front door of my house. Going by his pace and the number of times we passed each other, I'd estimate about 5 hours 30 minutes.

My wife timed me at 3.16

The site says 3.22

My bike computer said 3.17

You ride whatever you are comforatable with. Sportives are all about personal challenges whether that's just completing the event, or beating your previous time for that course or distance.

A group of us did our first Sportive back in April, the Scottish Bike Show Sportive 65 miles and 3 of our group did so on hardtails! They were a little slower than those of us on road bikes but they completed it and thouroughly enjoyed it.
