I changed from using a mudguarded bike to an unmudguarded one last summer. Blummin Eck, I soon fitted some mudguards on it.
With a summer like that, who needs winter?
Noise. If they work loose they can sound like a helicopter. Then there is racing. If you TT or hill climb, then taking them on and off is a fag. I leave them off.
Took my crud II's off last Thursday but only because I had to put the bike in the car. I put them back on Tuesday night due to weather forecast. It didn't start raining till I was back home on Wednesday. Typical.
I'll keep them on for another while yet.
I hope it rains on many more days this year or we will be on track for disaster.
My 'guards only come off when I'm fitting new ones, and I even do that indoors.
