Can anyone tell me which company this registration is from?

So, cycling to Wigton, on the road to Dalston from Durdar there was what seemed to be a cement truck right on my tail, if I'd slowed or had to stop he'd have ran into me, then when he went to over take he started beeping his horn and trying to push me into the verge, obviously I just slowed down as I didn't feel like getting crushed that day.

I think the reason he was annoyed was because I moved into a strong primary position to stop him overtaking on a blind bend (as I personally thought this would be silly, and not worth the risk), still I don't think this is an excuse to act the way he did, sadly as I don't have a helmet cam I didn't get it on video, but distinctly remembered his registration - PX04 DVR - Just wondering if someone could help me out and tell me what company this vehicle belongs to so I can write a letter of complaint (as I personally can't be bothered dealing with police as I have no solid evidence, it's basically my word against his), I know some of you have access to some database (?) which has this sort of information,

Thanks!
Seigi.

There is no way for a member of the public to find out who the registered keeper is of a vehicle by it's numberplate.

What was the colour scheme?

Quite a lot of cement mixers are owned by the drivers or subcontractors, even when they are painted in the livery of a big company.

You can request the information from DVLA. There is a fee though and you'd need to be able to justify why the data should be released.:

I believe the only times a private individual can do it is if you a. had a collision with that vehicle, the vehicle has been abandoned on your property or if you are acting as the executor of a will or as administrator of the estate of a person who has died.

Ah, bloody hell. Well, thanks anyway, if there is a next time I suppose it'd be more important to remember the company name rather than the registration plate...I was just under the assumption you were able to get the details of who the vehicle belonged to so long as it was commercial and not private.

If the incident had been reported to the police a log/incident number would have been given. You would then have forwarded this onto the DVLA, along with the reason why you were requesting them & they would decide whether you had sufficient grounds for them to supply the details to you. This does include accidents were injury is caused.

However the opening poster has already said that he didn't inform the police. That would make it harder but not impossible.

Either way though, as has been said a fee is payable.

Was the cement truck yellow and blue?

A quick Google of cement companies in Cumbria has brought up a firm based in Dalston. I don't want to name them here in case it's not the right one (as this thread would then show up in search results for them), but their trucks look like this:

ohnovino, no, I seem to remember the truck being white although I have seen these ones around (quite distinctive by their colours) .
