Just looked at the cateye double wireless manual and you should be able to move the sensor body more toward the crank and then loosen the screw on the arm and swing it in towards the wheel.

As shown here:

Yep, this is the one alright, but as I posted earlier, getting anywhere near the 3mm due to the angles of the chain stays is nigh on impossible.

The simplest option is a longer magnet!

I fitted a strong 10 mm x 10 mm magnet on to the pedal axle, inside the crank arm socket. The magnet holds itself in place

This worked well and solved a similar issue.

I think this may be the answer to the problem. I'll give this a try. Cunobelin, where could I get hold of one of these?

Thanks for the input folks.

Yes, they are parallel for about 3 inches, then angle outwards. This is what's causing the issue.
I think the large magnet is the only answer.

Success!!!! After a lot of jiggery pokery and some cunning application of plastic cable ties.
It's mounted right on the angle of the chain stay. I undid the central screw and angled the sensor unit as far apart as it would allow, held it all in place with some cable ties, and an extra one on the speed sensor, and re-tightened the screw. Now, as long as my big feet don't catch the sensor while pedaling it should be OK.

Thanks for your contributions folks!:hello:
