I think we need to know as these are the wheels the OP is asking about. The ones i used have a carbon fairing, the only down side i have found is if it's really windy they can be a handful.

I love cycling - but the downside is Im pretty crap at it ! - My asthma is pretty dire when measured in terms of peak flow - and really kicks on the climbs. If I average 15 mph on a 25 mile solo ride - Im pretty chuffed with that ! - I can't really justify big bucks on some wheels. Ive been out 3 years with a hip injury - so these would be my welcome back treat.
Sensibly those fulcrums that s-express suggested are more than enough for my needs - but the bling of the carbon deep sections is gnawing away at me !
