Hi CCs,

I'm looking at getting some second hand carbon forks. I've found a nice set on ebay that i'm going to bid on. Is there anything apart from the sizing etc that I should look for? Is there anything that should be ensured?

Many thanks in advance for this stupid question!

Personally I'd be very cautious of buying 2nd hand carbon forks. You never know if someones had a crash, and done some hidden damage.

If you must though - make sure the steerer tube is long enough.

It's your £15 but how do you know he is telling the truth  or if he has had them from new. The issue is you won't be able to tell and the forks take quite a lot of abuse on a bike. Don't want it failing on a downhill
