Nasty. Hope you heal quickly.
Can you see what I was replying too?
Nope , so it must be somebody i don't like.
Well, it makes you a real something.Well Troops, it had to happen sooner or later, me and wee George planned to have a nice ride out to St Andrews last Thursday, lovely east coast weather, a perfect day. Now, I had recently fitted pedal adaptors so I could use the bike to get to work and not wreck my pedals with my army boots.
As we set off, I really had to press quite hard to clip my left shoe in. The alarm bells should've started then but no, first junction we came to I couldn't unclip, piled into the road with my left arm out to break my fall. Result, 1 broken radial head , absolute agony, no riding, driving anything. Does this make me a real cyclist now lol 8-}
Get well soon, but please do not blame the pedals as it is the tool holding the tool that does the damage.
Like I said, I had recently fitted adaptors. I normally have my clips set quite loose and while I was fitting the adaptors I noticed that the adjustment screws on the other side of the pedals (the side i'd be using with my bike shoes) looked quite rattly and loose so not wanting to lose a screw, I nipped them up a bit. Obviously too much and the rest, they say, is history. This has also put paid to my first attempt at the Glasgow to Edinburgh/Pedal for Scotland.GWS.
Mine was luckily onto a grass bank when I lost a bolt from SPD's. What caused yours to stick?
Oh no! Hope it heals quickly and perfectly.
I was 'fortunate' to fall into very soft stinging nettles when I had my first fall with clipless!
Makes you a literal cycling fashion victim, doesn't it? But get well soon, nonetheless.
Not at all. Just sympathy with a side of truth that few clip fanatics will give.Wow. Sympathy through gritted teeth.
