They are one of those essential bits of kit that once you have one you wonder how you ever managed without.

In the summer I use one under my helmet to soak up the sweat before it gets in my eyes and onto my spex. This used to be a pain when going up long hills.

When it's cold a buff is OK for keeping my ears warm but a fleecy headband is better.

Think I've got it sussed (sans steamy windows). Wear my usual headband and have the buff over my nose to start with and then move it down as warming up. Seems to be working really well.
