Lost it, got it again.
Im looking at getting some proper road shoes as my bulky Adidas trainers just dont feel right and dont fit in the clips/straps easily.

Important info: On a tight budget, so as cheap as chips. I'm using clips and straps and want to stay that way so no clipless ones please!

Any ideas?

The best bit of advice I have managed to get from Dr Google is "use Squash Trainers".

Ebay for a second hand pair, my summer shoes are second hand lake shoes and for what i paid they are great .Bear in mind cycle shoes tend to be tight so i always have to go a size up because i have wide feet.
Lidl and aldi do cycle shoes a couple of times a year as well that you can use with or without cleats, i got a pair a coupe of years ago for under £20

Sports Direct have a sale on. Don't know if they have anything suitable.

You say cheap as chips, well they don't come much cheaper than THESE at £9:99. I have been wearing a pair since the new year on my bike with toe clips and straps and they are fine. They are not all that dissimilar to the shoes we wore in the 70's.
