I genuinely think that's the plan for everyone who's not 'wealthy'.

We're both reasonably well paid (Mrs Badger more so than me) and both contribute into what pass for decent occupational pensions these days, but I expect them to be worth a pittance when we finally have to retire. Unless you either start wealthy or make a lot of money, the era of the well off pensioner is long gone.
