Nothing comes up when I connect to the PC so that hasn't helped.

Have you downloaded Byrton Bridge2?

Having said that the interface as changed since I bought mine, the original Bryton Bridge had a manage your maps tab, that seems to have disappeared with the latest incarnation.

Try downloading a route onto your device and see if that kick starts it. Out of interest does the unit still come with the eurovelo routes preloaded?

Yes but when I plug it in it just lets me upload rides or edit device settings (my info)
or update software or visit the website?

Right.See post edit above apologies.

The picture you get of Europe is the lowest zoom mine will go to, depress the blue joystick, you should get a zoom bar, move the joystick toward the +, does this give you a closer map?

If not have you turned the unit on outdoors and allowed it to find the scatterlights to find your position? clutching at straws.

How have you activated your map? I presume then you have gone into settings-map-map activation? Are you sure you have put the correct key in? ie upper and lower case? If you go settings-map-infomation does it show your hd map as having been used?

If you go into find and go-planned trip does it bring up a list of EuroVero routes? select one of these, select load, select the middle symbol ie the black boxes with a clock in, then depress the joystick, should fetch up the zoom level?

Thanks for the help again,

The lowest zoom is North Africa, Europe and Arctic! Definitely cannot get closer than UK.

Has been on outdoors but nothing happens.

Just uploaded a random activity - still cannot zoom any further, it is as if the maps are not there but yes, I have activated them (4 times now) and it says success and re-boots but if I go to settings/information it says "No map is used"

It doesn't seem to find a EuroVero route sorry.

Like you, I am out of ideas - I have e-mailed and facebooked Bryton but looking at the above I am not sure how soon I will get a reply? Does anyone have a number for Bryton - and how much should I expect Halfords to help?

Updating the unit software via BrightonBridge2? Can't think of anything else tbh, mine which was an early model came with a disc with brighton bridge on it that allowed you to choose the area map you wanted in HD. Can't understand why you can't zoom in as even the countries on mine not in HD are down to street level with full poi.

There used to be an independent Bryton forum but that seems to have vanished now as well:sad:

IT IS WORKING NOW....

And here is what happened - the data on the memory card was not loaded properly so I had to erase it and re-download. Bryton technical people replied and although I chased via e-mail and facebook they did reply within about 20 hours and the solution worked. I am not the only one with this problem but hopefully now we are up and running. The device does seem really good for the price (£200 including Maps, HRM and Cad)

Thanks for all your suggestions - hopefully this thread can help someone else!

EDIT - Steven was indeed the guy who solved it so suggest people e-mail him!
