Brooks Saddle - is this wrinkling normal?

I tried taking photos, but the wrinkles barely show. This is the best image I can get, and it doesn't do the wrinkles justice:

As for Proofide, I tend to go with the idea that if it ain't broke, don't fix it. So I would tend to apply rarely and sparingly. Brooks advises: "Proofide should be used several times during the ‘breaking-in’ period and every 3-6 months thereafter."

Sounds good to me.

Mine have always had creases like that, and I'm on number 4 now.

I did have to slighty increase tension on one of them after it got totally soaked, but apart from that can't add to FF's post #14.

Brookes saddles are supposed to take on the shape of the rider.



You must have a wrinkley arse that's all.

I must have pointy sit bones as they are very prominent on my brooks saddle.It also has similar wrinkles and no problems in 10yrs use!.
