When my Brompton went back to the factory to be repaired, it came back with a note recommending I consider changing the handlebars. They suggest changing them every 5000 miles. I've fairly sure I've cycled way over 5000 miles on them. Do any Brompton owners bother changing their handlebars? How badly do they fail? Do they bend over; do they snap? I'm thinking of putting in an order for some more Brompton bits anyway, so may add some new M bars. I was considering getting one of those handlebar braces to stiffen them up a bit, as M-bars feel slightly flexy. Might get some of those Ergon grips too.
