Anyone running anything other than the supplied tyres on their G-Line?

The only one I've ridden had the Conti Urbans on it, but they were massively wide. A quick google says they're at 2.2"

It didn't feel nimble. Obviously, a lot of this will be down to the bigger size of the bike, additional weight, bigger wheels etc, but I also wonder how much the tyres play a part in that.

Reading online, the wheels are 406, so there's the option of much slimmer versions of those tyres. Even as 'narrow' as 1.25"

Anyone doing anything different?

Is it just me, or has the Brompton G -line thing gone a bit flat? I have seen them in dealers but apart from the name, they're just another 20" folder in a market seemingly crammed with 20" folders. The 16" Brompton's claim to fame is its portability, and a 20" with the Brompton fold still looks a bit of a lump. Perhaps I'm missing the point, and when there are more about on the used market I'll be able to take a punt on one and find out. My 2012 Brompton is not something I'd part with unless I had the chance to have an equivalent, newer one at a good price. It's a brilliant design. I could wish for a better finish, but it's a plain colour and not too difficult to touch up. It's just a thing in itself, a type object recognisable in any city in the world.

I look at the 20" version and can't help thinking ...why?
