hi there, so I broke a leg playing football around 5 weeks ago, it's going to be another 4 weeks till I'm up and about properly. My diet is pretty terrible usually, but at the minute it's killing me. Off work and immobile, the bordem means I'm shovelling kebabs, pizzas and pies into my maw almost constantly. I know I was going to gain weight, but I put on my work uniform shirt and I was in danger of killing the other half with a salvo of burst buttons.

Any upper body workouts or advice would be great.

The stop eating crap is pretty hard, making a massive effort on that front. And I wouldn't mind some form of circuit training that's just upper body.

Fresh veg, stir fried or cooked up with tinned tomatoes, and bread is fine in moderation...compared to takeaway foods! Get brown with bits in, avoid white. A big bowl of hearty soup with a couple of slices of toast is under 500cals, about equivalent to one small slice of deep pan pizza!

Try braking your fingers ... this may stop the craving of eating fast/cheap foods ...

Ask your partner for help and accept their judgement when they say 'no' . A disapproving look and a pat on the belly when you reach for the phone with a take away menu in your hand works wonders for me,

You really should do core work, but you stipulated upper body only.

And put a farking cork in you pie hole! ;)
