How much does it cost to Oldham?
My Dad did. Lovely smell but farking deadly.

Used to - I had a Peterson Sherlock Holmes which I lit up on special occasions. I enjoyed trying all the different varieties of pipe tobacco like Balkan Sobranie but it became increasing unwelcome socially and I packed it in altogether when the smoking ban in pubs came along.

I usually have a toke while walking the dog in the morning. Very occasuonally a second toke during the day in the bike shed with a glass of scotch. Never in the house, and even if they permitted it I wouldn't smoke in the pub.

Which is much appreciated by us pub-loving non-smokers.:okay: Having said that, I'd take the smell of pipe tobacco over stinky cigarettes any day.

Back in the days when I smoked cigarettes and rollies I often considered experimenting with a pipe.

February 2020 will mark my seventh year smoke-free and I have absolutely no desire to smoke anything ever again.

I smoked a pipe many years back in Scotland, I used to like sitting on the sand dunes above a deserted beach on the east coast and enjoyed some extended me time contemplating the world. There was a tobacconist in the nearby town (Montrose) who had a great range of pipe baccy and accoutrements, I liked their cherry blend.
But I stopped smoking ten years ago now so that pipe phase must have been what, between 15, 20 years ago? Gosh time flies.

I miss the charm and mature yet sexy appeal that I liked to imagine that it lent to me. I stress the "imagine" bit.

Last smoke was in 2002, but I still have the pipes, they decorate a windowsill these days . . .
