Except that wasn't really the case. Young people leave London and go to University up North or even the Midlands (which is the same thing to London) and mostly return. Lots from elsewhere go to university in London. Lots of young people move to or stay in London for work when they finish uni. They mostly leave when they are in thier 30s and have young children but only as far as commuting distance.
